Important Format Note: Can RAR Files Be Created in a Browser?

The RAR compression algorithm is closed-source and proprietary to RARLAB (Alexander Roshal). Due to licensing restrictions, no third-party web tool or open-source software (including 7-Zip and PeaZip) can legally encode native .rar archives without proprietary WinRAR binaries.
